JBA Jr students

Open to all learners currently in the 4th, 5th, or 6th grade, the Joseph Baldwin Academy, Jr. offers a five-day program filled with engaging academic opportunities for students from the northeast Missouri region.

Through enhanced access to the Truman State University campus located in Kirksville, Mo., JBA Jr. gives area students opportunities to broaden their horizons by spending time learning and exploring at Truman, guided by our faculty and staff.

The program aims to spark students’ interest through engaging and diverse classes and activities that foster a passion for learning.

In addition to JBA Jr., Truman offers another summer program called the Joseph Baldwin Academy (JBA) which is designed for students in the 7th, 8th, or 9th grade.

Standard JBA Jr. Schedule

9 a.m. — 12 p.m. Morning Class Activities
12 p.m. — 1 p.m. Lunch and Recreation
1 p.m. — 3:45 p.m. Afternoon Class Activities
4 p.m. Student dismissal
